Eat Your Oats
Since our childhood years, we’ve always been told that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. It’s true, but how many of us actually have the time to create a healthy and fulfilling meal every morning?
Overnight oats have gotten me through early morning workouts and meetings but became a bit mundane to eat every single morning so I decided to switch things up. Fresh fruit and Greek yogurt are a few of my favorite things and I always have them in my fridge. To save time in the morning, I mix a serving of oats, granola and dried cranberries in a bowl and place it in the fridge. The following morning, I add Greek yogurt and fresh fruit to the oat mixture and get started on my day! Oats are not only high in Manganese, Phosphorus and Iron all good for your body. They’re rich in antioxidants, contain soluble fiber which is great for digestive health, and is known to lower cholesterol. Adding oats to any of your favorite breakfast meals will speed up your metabolism, keep your weight down and keep your brain function healthy!
